Course Overview

The Google and Reichman University Tech School English course is designed to equip participants with the necessary tools to enter the high-tech world. In our program, you’ll receive your ticket to the tech industry. You’ll learn common terms and concepts and improve your English proficiency to a level suitable for a high-tech job. 

The course includes learning and practicing all communication skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Additionally, it emphasizes developing business relationships relevant to real-life and everyday work in the field. Participants will learn how to interview in English, respond appropriately and accurately to various business scenarios, both verbally and in writing, alongside building a business English vocabulary and using the required functional language.

What will we learn?
  • You will gain familiarity with the skills and language tailored to the business-technology world, enabling participants to improve their confidence and ability to express themselves in English – fluency in speaking, development of professional spoken communication skills, both formal and informal. 
  • Through case studies, participants will practice strategies to improve reading comprehension and listening skills and hone their professional written communication skills while utilizing these skills to navigate effectively in English in various fields – from writing resumes, interviews, emails, presentations, and more. 
  • The program includes participation in face-to-face sessions, virtual interactions, ongoing assessments, exercises and homework, assignments, and projects. 
  • The program was developed in accordance with industry requirements by a team of experts led by Dr. Miriam Symon – the academic director of the program. 

In essence, the course will cover:

Business English skills: You’ll learn the specific language and skills needed to communicate effectively in a business and technology setting. 

Communication practice: Through various exercises and case studies, you’ll improve your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. 

Real-world applications: You’ll learn how to apply your English skills to practical situations like job interviews, writing emails, and giving presentations. 

 

The course is designed to give you the confidence and tools to succeed in a high-tech career.

  • Duration: Approximately three months, with one session per week (A total of 12 sessions), in a blended learning model, combining in-person (4 in-person sessions) and online learning.
  • Central Israel in-person's sessions in TLV or HaSharon area
    Northern Israel in-person's sessions in Haifa
  • Days and Times: Mondays, 16:00 - 20:00
  • Language of Instruction: All lectures, exercises, and communication with instructors will be conducted exclusively in English.

AI: Learn about it and apply it

Artificial intelligence – AI – is an integral part of all training programs at the high-tech school. A key component of this program is learning what artificial intelligence (AI) is and how to use its tools. For greater creativity and productivity, we will be focusing on GEMINI, Google’s main AI tool. By using artificial intelligence, we can optimize our work, present high-quality products, analyze information, and present insights. 

With an emphasis on promoting innovation using AI technologies responsibly and professionally, the program will impart relevant skills and develop the ability to successfully integrate into the future labor market.

  • Can I enroll in the English for Tech program only?

    Yes, you can enroll in the English course alone without participating in any other professional training program. Please note that those who only wish to take the English course, without a professional training program, are not eligible for a scholarship.

    What is the learning model in the program?

    Hybrid learning model – online format, with 4 in-person sessions

    Attendance is mandatory for all sessions.

    Who is the English for Tech program designed for?

    The program is designed for both those who wish to join programs at the High-Tech School and for those who want to improve their English level to join the high-tech industry. If you are applying for an additional training program, we will assess your English level throughout the selection process and refer you to the English course if necessary.

    How long is the English for Tech course?

    This program is 3 months long, meeting once a week.

    How do I register for English for Tech course?

    If you are interested in any other of our programs, you don’t need to register to English for Tech. During the screening process we will examine your suitability for the course.

    Under the academic leadership of Dr. Miriam Symon, you will get the best English training from the most qualified experts in the field.

    What will I receive upon program completion?

    You will gain proficiency in English at a level required to join the high-tech industry. Additionally, those who meet the requirements will receive a formal completion certificate co-signed by Google and Reichman University.

    What is the cost of the program? ? Can I receive a scholarship?

    Participation in the English for Tech program costs 5,150 NIS, including VAT. If you are applying for an additional professional training program and are eligible for a scholarship, you will receive a scholarship for both the English course and the professional training program you were accepted to. Those who wish to take only the English course (without a professional training program) are not eligible for a scholarship.
